The first step is the Green Camps Needs Assessment, which begins with a 5-minute sustainability snapshot.

This tool helps camps:

The assessment is completely free and available to all camps.

Green Camps Certification

Camps that complete sustainability initiatives and demonstrate progress across key operational areas may pursue Green Camps Certification.

Certification recognizes camps that are leading the way in environmental stewardship and sustainability education.

To receive the official Green Camps Certified designation, camps participate in the Green Camps membership program.

Membership supports the continued development of resources, research, and programs that help camps become models for sustainability.
