Peg was born and raised in Indiana. She completed her bachelor’s degree in early childhood and family studies and her master’s in management. Her over 40 years of experience working with children, youth, and family has brought her recognition for her entrepreneurial work-style and her ability to move people, organizations, and government agencies through significant change. In 1998, Peg became the Chief Executive Officer of the American Camp Association. Under her leadership, ACA became a well-respected innovator and leader in the field of youth development. The country, families, and the entire global camp community have benefitted immensely from Peg’s vision and leadership. She retired in 2014.
